Several years ago not too long before Sheriff Ferguson took over, Andy Lee was Sheriff and Bella Vista was under the Sheriff's Office. I want to say it was either 2001 or 2002, the Sheriff's Office made a tougher Fire-Arms Qualification course. The course was harder to score and had SHOOT-DON'T-SHOOT scenarios. Chief Wozniak and his upper brass complained that the course was too hard and didn't believe that the Bella Vista division needed to take the course. Some complaints were even that it caused them aches and pains to have to shoot the course. Bella Vista didn't have to complete this qualification. It was left at that. It is not right for them to deny us this information. It's obvious they messed-up and appears they still don't take their roles serious. People should get together and encircle the office, (or offices if it takes it). We should in peace and prayer demand that these people who claim to be our servants, serve us - THE PEOPLE.
And if it comes out that any of these people had been hiding info. from us to try and buy time. We should remove them from office and hold them on criminal charges. Make a date and let us gather. PEACE

I know what you mean my brother was murdered by the Highway Patrol Feb.4, 2010 @ 1:30 am. , He was unarmed, had no record, was on vacation from Little Rock Ak., just walking down the access road, no drugs, sober. He was beaten brutally and tased and killed then autopsied before any one even notified us that he was dead. As if that's not enough they wouldn't let us see the body to identify if it was even him, they kept the body for longer than the law allows! My brother Mark Andrew Morse was here to introduce his soon to be wife to our mother Mon. Feb. 1st 2010 and was killed on the 4th with not even so much as a some what reasonable explanation. They didn't even notify the press until the Feb. 8th because they are or were trying to just sweep this under the mat and I'm sorry but that is absolutely unexceptable. These so called law enforcement officers are supposed to protect and serve the public, not act just like the the people they are supposed to protect us from. We pay them with our tax dollars for god's sake their children are provided for because our taxes pay them to do their job with dignity and respect because we trust them. This is not right that unnamed officer should be sitting in jail because you can't just kill innocent citizens and hide behind your badge who the hell are you protecting anyway.Because I DON'T feel safe and if this is the way of the future then how the hell can any one feel that their children are safe on the streets and why are you receiving a pay check when your a bigger criminal than the people you arrest. If the Police / DPS in Phx. Az. can just be the judge, jury, and executioner because they wear a badge Democracy has failed and we should just keep our tax dollars and protect ourself. So who's gonna be held accountable for Mark's murder?? The county medical examiner still say's he doesn't or can't give a cause for death what a professional cover up that is, my brother has already been buried and he was breathing fine before he took a walk. People if this doesn't open your eye's and scare the hell out of you then you must not be breathing any more or you just like throwing away your tax dollars. I guess you can just flip a coin cause you could be the next citizen protected and served up to the morg dissected by a specialist in his field to be told there's no apparent reason or explanation that you now have to live in a box 6 feet under ground but thank you for your tax dollars... We are now going into the seventh week of this investigation. The county attorney requested additional evidence from the ARSP on 3/3/2010. Getting whatever that evidence is from the ARSP could take weeks. We are still waiting. I have read blogs from the local newspapers and there have been some terrible things said in those blogs. Blaming Jim and even me for his death. I so often wonder when I read these comments, how would these same people feel if the victim was one of their loved ones? I would never want this to happen to anyone, the pain and not knowing why Jim was killed is almost unbearable at times. Someone left a sign at Jim's memorial on 3/3/2010 it was a 3x5 ft sign which said “A Catholic man, homosexually solicited, he resisted and was murdered.” The sign was adorned with a flower spray and some religious icons. I was first horrified that someone would put a sign on what is sacred ground to the people who love Jim. My second thought after a few days was wondering if someone left this sign there because he had experienced the same abuse by a BV cop? If that is the case I can only hope this person will come forward and tell his story. If this is not the case why in the world would someone leave a sign like this one?
I have been chastised in the press for wanting to know what happened that night. Yes I understand investigations take time, but how much time? If the intent was to make everyone forget about Jim's death, it is not working. People want to know what happened. I no longer feel safe in BV and I am making plans to move from this area this fall or as soon as I can.

Police and prosecutors also charged him with battery of a Springdale police officer. But on Thursday, a Washington County jury took about 30 minutes to determine Balentine not guilty.

Officers arrested Balentine, 28, after he refused leave a bedroom at the apartment he shared with his mother, Pamela. Police said Balentine was the aggressor, tackling officer Christopher Arthur and trying to take away his gun. Arthur said his back was injured and he got a scrape on his wrist in the tussle ..."

NOW they are trying to hide the police from retaliation from the citizens they are damaging. They don't make any efforts to address the on going problems and abuse they are causing.

Washington's Legislature has passed a measure that would exempt the personal information of criminal justice employees from general public records requests.

The bill exempts birthdate information and photographs that could be used to locate or identify the employees of criminal justice agencies, including courts and police departments.

The information would still be available to news media organizations.

The bill was approved unanimously by the House on Saturday afternoon, and heads to Gov. Chris Gregoire for final approval.

This absolutely makes me sick to my stomach. What is happening with this case? Did Chris die or is he still in the hospital? Is this thug cop back on the street? How long will people sit down and let the criminal police try, convict, and execute innocent people right in the street? Walking all over our basic right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. When will people stop buying into this myth that police work is 'dangerous' when the real danger is to the innocent men, woman, and children who fall into the cross hairs of these out of control and unaccountable criminals?

I just had a brother in law in Bella Vista,Ark. who was shot and killed for having 3 beer in a bar. After doing 2 j turns on the police and going off the road a Bella Vista ,Ark Police Officer shot 5 rounds into the back of his car that wasn't moving and murder him and then ask him to put his hands on the steering wheel . Jame's didn't have a gun and the police officer knew who he was and where he lived.The Bella Vista Police are now trying to cover it up and put Jame's in the wrong to protect there ass.Jame's was 41 is dead and still no answer's as to why he was murdered by the Bella Vista,Ark Police.Still want answers????????????? Wong full death by the Police Dept. This is what people in Bella Vista , Ark call serve and protect by there law enforcement. Murder then make up your own answers.
